The urge just comes from having bored with the same instant spaghetti everyday. Seriously.
So, here is one beginner (wife) level recipe that I am now confident enough in making without having to peek to the recipes all the time.
I hope this works well for you too.
Hash Brown
Ingredients:
- Large size potato
- 1 shallot (or more, or onion, your preference)
- 1 egg white
- 2 tbs all purpose flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- dash of crushed coriander and garlic powder (optional)
- oil to fry
- grate potato into thin slices, soak in cold water for 20 minutes
- drain potato slices, squeeze all the water out using a clean table cloth
- grate shallot, mix with the potato
- add egg white, and flour, salt and pepper, mix it well
- fry in a preheated oil, medium heat for 4 mins each side or until it's golden brown.
somehow like this:
ignore the visual, this actually taste good (self defense mode : on)
